LUFA is the Laurentian University Faculty Association. LUFA represents faculty of Laurentian University. We are affiliated with the Canadian Association of University Teachers, the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations, the Sudbury and District Labour Council, the Ontario Federation of Labor and the Canadian Labor Congress through National Union of the Canadian Association of University Teachers.

How do I become a member?

Membership of the bargaining unit is automatic but membership of LUFA must be applied for by the completion of a form to be sent to the LUFA office.

Do I have to renew my membership each year?

Memberships are automatically renewed each year.

How often are meetings held?

General meetings are held twice each year; once in the Fall, once in April. Board meetings are held at least once a month. Grievance meetings are also held at least once a month.
